Re: rockola 476 only turnable spins

Hey!
1st of all start cleaning the gripper mech from all old grease and "waxed" oil.
Then re-lubricate useing plenty of SAE20 oil (I used motorcycle fork oil) while switching oper/scan/clear.
I did all that for my RO 470 and it worked out fine !

Re: New Guy With Basic Questions (Rock-Ola 470)

Hey Mindtrain, congrats with your RO470 ! :) I have just the same and beside a few minor probs (solved) it plays great. Record equalization has indeed nothing to do with record holes, but all with arranging correct playback ( read this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIAA_equalization ) My 470 has a ...

Re: A bit of advice needed for my RO 470...

Hey Guys...
I still need that help!
Some fuse must have been blown, but I can't find it. The manual is no help either :P
If I put power on, I still hear a "woof" sound, but for the rest the juke isn't doing anything....

Any advice please ?

Re: A bit of advice needed for my RO 470...

Yep guys, I know about the dangers of electricity.... My house is fitted with a 300mA RCCB on all circuits, and even 30mA in "humid" rooms, but that's not the issue It's just that the RO 470 is out for some reason. When the problem occured the RCCB went out, so I put that back on. When I p...

A bit of advice needed for my RO 470...

My RO 470 was working great since my last request, and I could even use my remote wall box for volume etc. ... Just one thing : sometimes there was a little "tingle" when I touched the juke, but to me that was just coz it was not earthed. Now last weekend my kid wanted to adjust volume, us...

Re: Warning!

Hey Viggie ! Situating the UK in Eastern Europe is a bit .... :? Wages over there are about 1/5 of those in the UK (Western Europe, thus 1/3 of those in the US...) I know we're getting really off-topic, but I wanted to clarify 8) Besides I doubt you'll find a lot of vintage jukeboxes in Ruma...

Rock-Ola 470, prolly minor problem ?

Hey all ! After cleaning & oiling up my RO 470, I filled it with records (some of which I had to "dink") and I was off ! It works great, sounds great and is fantastic.... One minor (I hope) problem though... The 45 RPM I put in carrousel nr. 104 never plays. I mean : it turns round and...

Re: the hole in the 45 RPM

Thanks, but it has nothing to do with speed.... :)
Records are all 45 RPM!
It's just the size of the hole in the record that should be changed, and I don't know how to....
Nor do I know if it's even possible :?

the hole in the 45 RPM

I have a lot of 45 RPM records I bought in the UK when I was younger, and I want to have them playing in my RO 470. Problem is this only takes records with the "big" (about 4cm) hole in the middle... Most of my records only have the 6mm hole in the middle :P Is there a way of modifying, or...

Rock Ola 470

Hello ! Thanks to Ron and a bit of SAE20 oil my gripper problem is fixed :D Now a second issue : sometimes when a 45RPM is played to the end, the needle arm doesn't go far enough to make the "click" so that the gripper takes it away... Is there any way of adjusting that ? Thx in advance ! ...
