Re: Solid State Tube Replacements

Hi, I would not welcome Solid State replacements for Amplifier Tubes.I like the jukebox (valve) sound. However, there exists Drop In replacements for the 2050 Thyratron in the selection mechanism. Proposed/developed/patented by Otis (they were also used in Elevators). https://shop.1asecure.com/prod....

Re: Strange amplifier problem

Ron,

Somebody on the German Jukebox Forum had recently exactly the same problem with the same amp in a TSR1-L6 V200. .
Quite a coincidence! Watch those pins!!.

Regards,

Martin

Re: V200 HFMA1:Suppression of Interference by Read Out circu

Hi Rob NY, Sorry for the late reply. I will follow up your checks. WRT the cartridge: This is still the original Pickering HiFi Magnetic "RedHead"/ In the NL there were (and still are substitute) stereo needles by the Brand TONAR (a needle manufacturer). The 188DS ("Diamond Stereo), i...

Re: V200 HFMA1:Suppression of Interference by Read Out circu

Hi Ron, Thanks for the advice! I have this V200 box already for many years and it has always been ticking via the speakers during scanning. I can see that a modification has been done to the TSR-1L6, because one PL2D21 tube is missing (Read Out) and I could see some (not so nicely laid out) wiring ...

V200 HFMA1:Suppression of Interference by Read Out circuit??

Hi Ron, After your help with fixing the Mech on my V200D, a few weeks ago, (MECH runs perfectly now), could I ask you another question? Background The V200 Tormat Selection Receiver TSR1-L6 was modified early in it's life by the Operator to a TSR3-L6 Read Out circuit (no PL2D21 Thyratron, but direc...

Re: SEEBURG V200D Mech Question.

Hi Ron, Installed 3/16" ball and turntable screws plus tab washers and removed the axial play. The box is now working nicely. Many thanks for your advice!! (BTW 3/16" ball (standard ball size) is close enough to 0.187" in my book: just teasing ;-). Will have to see how those modern mu...

Re: SEEBURG V200D Mech Question.

Hi Ron, Ball is missing: Should it be a 3/16" Ball = 4.762 mm? Then I should be able to get it in a Bicycle shop: wheel ball bearings. We have alot of these shops over here ;-). http://www.fietspunt.nl/nl/kogel-3-16-4-762-mm.html?gclid=CNjb2KaGwLwCFesSwwodhxIADA Still somehow the turntable is ...

Re: SEEBURG V200D Mech Question.

Ron, Thanks. Somehow, the problem lost itself. I was trying to pull the table of the bearings : No luck. But pushing it to the right moved it a little (but not back). But when I took the play out with the allan screw (as far as it could), the box now plays A & B sides AllRight! Problem solved. T...

SEEBURG V200D Mech Question.

Hi Ron, I have bought your SEEBURG Mech Book (It's great: Thanks for all the work, also your granddaughter), but I still have a question: My V200D Box works All Right (when the arm is on the left side): selects, plays, rejects, scans etc. OK. However, if it has to select the other side of the singl...

Re: Seeburg V200D Free Play Adapter Questions!

Dear Ron, I found out how my Seeburg V200 was changed here in Holland in the 1960's to avoid a burned Latched Solenoid: it is actually described in Dr. Know-it-All 's Seeburg Reference Manual Vol.2 (2n edition, Page 78): * Cut the wire at the zero connection of the Latch solenoid (connected to pin ...

Re: Seeburg V200D Free Play Adapter Questions!

Hi, Tnx again for all the info. BTW I now found the Website Always Jukin' with all that good literature. Will order some of those manuals. An Eyeopener! I think that in Holland here, most people are not aware yet of this treasure trove. Will first check with a specialized bookshop here, otherwise I...

Re: Seeburg V200D Free Play Adapter Questions!

Hi Ron, Thanks for the quick answer (BTW I have just discovered your websites and books, so some more reading is in order). To your questions: 1) Yes, I removed the DCU1-L6 completey from the system (the hook up of FPA is quite idiot proof: 12 pin Loctal plug from Mechanism into ditto socket of FPA ...
