Re: Wurlitzer 1900

Ok just a follow up to this. I wasn't getting to far with is so i looked at it differently. I just tried to fix it like i do a em pinball machine. Shoot gun style, clean and adjust ever switch and contact and it should work. AND now it is up and running 100% the amp will need to be recapped. I do ha...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

OK I got the D coil moving and C And B also move when they are presses BUT now after the selection is made the latch pin for that selection is not up so the motor never turns, if I manually release the latch pin the motor turns to that selection it looks like the over-ride switch is after the button...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

Sorry--but I have to "give up"--for the following reasons: 1. If you had purchased a service manual from one of the "ligit" re-sellers listed above, you would ( or should have) a great copy of the schematic ( If not, SCREAM at the supplier, --most will search-out, and reprint, a...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

Don't give up! I am over my head here! my biggest question is where is the power to the B,C and D coil power from? the schematic is far from clear I removed the D coil and it is good 9.0 ohms but the coil sleeve looks to have melted a bit, the plunger is very tight. I tried to clean the sleeve to he...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

the ABCD buttons are only touching the casting on the screw stand offs
the #buttons are not touching the casting due to a plexiglass in between them
the D coil can be moved at any state. that is why I don't think I am getting power to it

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

OK--Didja L@@K UNDER that keyboard--is the "fishpaper installed (glued) onto the casting ?? I suspect not ! Especially if you can move the "D piston, with the power OFF--- Ron Rich Ron I did pull the keyboard off BUT I don't see where there would be fish paper installed? top/bottom back a...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

the keyboard is installed
the piston on the D coil is very tight that is why I can position it to each letter.
it isn't super tight just I can move it easy but it will not retract on its own.

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

Ok guys had some time to me work on it this morning. here is what I found. the issue I think is I am not getting 24v to the B,C and D coils. I manually push the D coil to the open position and I can select any A title but NO B,C or D title if I manually set the wobble plate to the B position I can s...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

As Rob wrote--it is NOT the "wobble plate" that you should be concerned with--yet--it's the "Rocker Plate" Thanks for the scans Ron; they look the same as what is in my w1900 manual. The term” rocker plate” I can not find on the print. Their are short and long rockers that are a...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

Rob let see if i am looking at the wobble plate correctly. if you are looking at the wobble plate from the front of the jukebox through all the other parts the plate at rest moves counter clockwise when activated correct OR does the coil release it and the wobble plate moves clockwise when activated...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

rob/nyc I am not sure that is the case with mine? if i move the wobble plate as the A button is pressed the press a # BUTTON it will load the A title. so from what i understand (which is little at this point) that the D selection is for some reason stays active due to it being the only one with a cu...

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

ok the coil that moves the wobble plate is the driver solenoid.
it looks like it is not energized ? so why is D being selected?
I will have to put a meter on it once I get time and the shop isn't 20 deg F

Re: Wurlitzer 1900

ok went back to the schematic, I think the issue is the driver solenoid my reasoning is as follows A-is determined by the stop finger (no circuit) B-is determined by B stop magnet C-is determined by C stop magnet D-uses a circuit that uses the driver solenoid determined by stop finger does this soun...
