just an update......it turned out to be the 6sk7 tube i had to order one and just got it in today
plugged it in and no more noise :D

with the input unplugged and the avc on yes it makes the noise
with the input unplugged and the avc off no noise

well i checked the ground on the mech it was tight but i cleaned it anyways but on the one mech plug in harness it was wrapped with electrical tape so i up wrapped it to find the wires twist together i tugged on the ground and it just pulled apart and i said to myself "there it is" :D so i...

the amp is a MRA4-L6
i might add that it doesn't always do it
everything else works fine just that loud noise and the beginning of record play

Hello everybody!! i was wondering if any one had any ideals as to what would cause this noise

amp has been recapped and has new tubes
