Hi Rob, thanks for the help. I didn't think about a audio activated switch. that sounds brilliant. I will check out to find one. I was thinking of a manual switch that would cut off the mute line-wire, while at the same time closes the circuit of the rca cable, allowing the audio to go through. I wa...
Hello on my AMI I have the R-2017 monaural amplifier. On the L-2156 plugin mono pre-amp it has, there is the input RCA plug for the phono arm that works fine. My question is about the other input it has on the basic chasis of my amp. When I plug there my mp3 player for example, it sounds great, but ...
Well the solenoid of the pop meter is activated when the record is placed on the tt the grip arm is moving) . It has to be that way since it is placed right behind the pins showing the selection played at that time. For that to happen (before the pin of the pop is pushed) the pop meter must be align...
Yes it is true, all the popularity meter assemblies are the same through all the models you said. And guess what... as soon as I mentioned a search in e-bay, one assembly showed up there! and it gets even better... it was in Greece!!! now what were the odds for that? I should have wished for the fir...
Thanks once again you guys! Rob for the precious schematics and Ron for the reply. Well here in Greece I found out that they were very rarely used (even in pro use) but I just wanted to put that final touch of perfection ;-) just to have everything original and complete. I will wait for a system to ...
On some places the manual suggests oiling and on some others grease. Is it ok to use everywhere this 3 in 1 for example? And will another oil 20 SAE be ok? One car oil from castrol for example?
this makes me feel like an idiot but I will say it... The problem with my popularity meter was that the solenoid is missing! It looks like I never checked to see if it was actually ever there! I am left wondering how it could look like. My parts manual doesn't show it very well (it is a copy after a...
You know Ron, I am also wondering If I did the new re-wiring for nothing :-) I never checked the filter before, so I am also left with that un-answered question! I followed your direction with the wiring directions but still the dialing/clicking was heard sometimes. So after some desperate research,...
Well here is some feedback... I Did a new wiring. but this time I thought to use a RFI noise filter like this: shield.jpg Like shown in the version 2. I don't know why I came to this conclusion. maybe because the cartridge is magnetic I believed this may be a solution. And I did not re-cap the conve...
Solved! Problem was the number circuit board in the pulse converter. Took it apart and re-soldered a bad soldering connection. it seems that it was corrupted at one point were the front soldering meets the back part of the circuit board. Good thing I didn't have to buy a new reproduction board!
Yes Ron, fixed the Selection counter first. It was a wiring problem and you were right... it goes from the sprag relay. I also took it apart and cleaned it as it was sort of jammed and the spring inside it didn't work well. The electro-magnet was fine though. Works like a charm now :-) Thanks to Rob...
Greetings, I have two minor issues with my jukebox. 1) Counter mech... When a selection is made the counter (on the top) that shows the number of the plays, does not count. (it doesn't move). I was wondering where it gets its signal from (power). Is it from the credit unit or the credit circuit boar...
Thank you again Ron for taking time to answer. I have not changed the capacitors in the pulse converter and that might be it! I never thought that could be the fault. As for the amp I have had re-done it all with new caps and everything last year, so it should be fine. The wire was there so that's w...
