Wanted - Louis Armstrong 78's

I am looking for affordable Louis Armstrong 78's and other jazz and blues. Preferably in Sydney, Australia to keep postage costs down. I have some records I would consider swapping too.

Please PM me if you have anything you think I'd be interested in.

Cheers

- governor spring and weight (maybe all three so they match)
- needle cup (metal, alloy I think)

Anyone able to help?

Rexonola info/parts..?

I have just bought a 'Rexoport' portable rexonola gramophone that is missing a few parts. I am in need of a governor spring and weight. The motor is branded 'Rexonola', I had expected to find a generic thorens numbered motor. Does anyone know what motor parts/springs are compatible? Does anyone have...

Building in a phono pre-amp..?

I have taken a nice, Garrard AT6 changer from an old, rat-eaten radiogram cabinet. Thanks to the great advice from user 'Record-changer' I have got the changer working a treat. Now I would like to mount the unit in a box/case and be able to run a stereo line into my living-room stereo system. I unde...

Success!

Thank you for the advice. The trip mechanism fix went as described, I'm sure you saved me hours of scratching my head. The mechanics underneath are surprisingly clean and tidy and when cleaned up the item played and worked brilliantly. I am wondering though if the auto end function can be adjusted. ...

What other discs?

That's wonderful that your museum has a gramophone cinema. What other discs/pictures are in the collection? Is there a few of Felix? How complicated is the animation? I'd imagine most would be a walking or running loop.

Gramophone Cinema - 1920's novelty

I came across this old animation novelty from the 20's, thought people might get a kick out of it. What a great gramophone accessory to own now. http://www.smsnoveltiques.com/images/kinephone.jpg Has anyone got a gramophone doll? Is there any video on the web of one in action? I would be interested ...

Garrard AT6 Restoration Advice?

I have just rescued a Garrard AT6 from an old radiogram cabinet. Unfortunately there seems to be no life in the unit. It's clear it will need a complete overhaul. I would like to do the work myself, I have little experience with electronics, usually satisfied with tinkering on accoustic gramophones....

thumbscrew

Yes it is a screw, looks like it would go somewhere on the reproducer to clean the record as it plays.

Where does this brush go?

While reconditioning my HMV 101 portable I came across this "Kle-Nit", small, mountable brush. It fell out of the horn when I was cleaning it! How does this brush work? Where does it mount? Is it worthwhile using? Thanks http://www.superduper.com.au/video/brush_small.jpg
