I don't have price guides for records, but plenty for antiques and phonographs in general. The ones here in Oz, are compiled with pictures and prices that dealers have on their stock- and not the price the item actually sells for. Many prices are way over the top. What are these phono guide names? ...
Do these have an exhibition soundbox? Sounds like it really pumps out the volume. It looks like its in good condition, and is all original. You should be proud to own it.. Hehe, i'm still learning so I had to look up what an exhibition soundbox was. ...and yes, I have one. It is in good condition e...
I was watching an auction on eBay for an Edison Army + Navy model Diamond Disc phonograph. As much as would ABSOLUTELY love to have won this machine, i'm in no position to spend the cash. :-( ...but look at this bid history. it jumps last minute from 1,000 to 10,000. ...but then there is another bid...
Well, I ended up buying it. (not at the Wayne phono show) ...and I love it, sounds great! So, this is a 1 minute clip of my "new" Victor C in action. I apologize for the poor sound quality as it was recorded on a small digicam. It does not do it justice for the live sound! The name of the ...
Hey Guys - Went to the Wayne, NJ MME (Mechanical Music Extravaganza) today! http://www.antique-sound.com/ for more info. I got myself a reproducer for my Edison cylinder unit for less than $100, so that's not too bad. Unfortunately, my camera's battery died after about 10 minutes of walking around! ...
wow-i just went into ebay for another look on phonographs--i saw another LU-37-bidding started at $1500.00U.S. however it had a fist size chuck of wood missing , the lid was warped and the legs horribled scratched, 4 disc are missing--is that seller off his rocker or will he get that ? again thank ...
Thanks for your help! The same day you responded, the same day I got more pics. I think that it is indeed a Victor C. I've noticed something discouraging though. Can you guys help... I've posted 3 pictures, the last one is what is troubling me. In the last photo, that extra hole scares me. Does this...
Hey Guys... I need some advice. I have a chance to buy this (affordably priced) external horn phonograph, but I don't know much about it. There's no label/model/brand, but I think it looks like a nice unit and is in working condition. I was told it was purchased in Asia 30 years ago. I know that the...
That was quick! One of mine's the A100. That was the first upright produced. The early one's had nice guilding and decals on the bedplate. I've had mine for 27yrs & love it. Did it have the black or brass ID tag, and was it at the back or side of the cabinet? Unfortunately, it was altered. ie: ...
Gee! I was getting all excited. I thought you'd scored an edisonic or dance reproducer :? BTW again 8) What model is the new edison phonograph? And have you checked it for goodies yet? 150 records at once is way cool! Haha, sorry, but it was big news for a beginner like me. :-) Well, it's a model A...
OK, so that title is a bit over-dramatic, but i'm very happy. So, some of you know about my Edison LU-37 Diamond Disc player. It was my first ever phonograph and had a reproducer in pristine exterior condition, beautiful and shiny... but I had sent it to get rebuilt and have been playing it as such ...
