Re: rd out carriage - Rock-ola 400 series

Ron, you are so right! People, be carefull on what you are putting in your machines! Case in point,At a supplier in my area, there are 9 different types of these switches that all look identical to the 3 switches running off the cam in my Rockola 429. All have individual ratings and current requirem...

Re: rd out carriage - Rock-ola 400 series

Though i still have to test adr and trip relay, although, they look like they are in great sha...

Re: rd out carriage - Rock-ola 400 series

Just a followup, Gripper arm went nuts on me last night, continued past point of placing record on turntable, and kept traveling below turntable to eventually stop on or about level of turntable motor. Then jammed and blew fuse. Lucily, i had rmoved all records from magazine. !! :D :0 dont know if t...

Re: rockola 429 Write in Motor

I have the 429 and I have the same problem. Are you also having problems with the coils on the read out carriage? Could you elaborate on adjusting the carriage? Do you align your reset arm/lever centred over the pin? I have adjusted mine quite a few times, but i am starting to think, the contact on ...

Re: Can someone post a pic of Rockola 425 (or sim) meter/cou

Sorry, i cant find... (mystery parts post) but the way the meter/counter hooks up is, there is a small plate about a inch long, quarter inch wide, with a hole at each end with each end rounded, not shown in your picture, (Probably lost). One end of this little piece (not Shown) is twisted 90 degrees...

Re: rd out carriage - Rock-ola 400 series

Hi Ron,This is all controlled by cams and switches. My machine dates from 1965 No electronics in this thing LOL Yeah, so, The hammer is centred over the pin, when the solenoid activates the hammer, which is very rarely, it resets the pin without any difficulty. No jamming etc. this could be a bad re...

Re: Rock-ola 429 Write out - solonoid not firing

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear, what I meant was do the two blades need to be together or should they be separated?
a couple of the upper blades have been bent over the years and I just want to be shure they are position properly.

Hope i'm clear

Re: Rock-ola 429 Write out - solonoid not firing

Hey guys, i'm back again with the same problem. Read out solenoids not firing. Im starting to think, that the adjustment was a fluke. Could the wobble plate switch have anything to do with read out solenoid not firing and resetting select pins? Or how do I start from zero and adjust this read out ca...
