Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Both of the fuses 421 and 422 are good but the 25 ac voltage that is supposed to feed them is missing.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Hi Ron I was able to obtain a much more legible schematic and now I has reassessed the problem. The service switch is not the issue. It looks like the voltage we are missing at the junction of fuse 421 and fuse 422 is supposed to come in a straight cable run from pin 5 of plug 421. I don't know if t...

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Ron silence sounds like you don't think it is a good idea t work around that switch. I guess we will look for one.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

I suppose we could splice into the 25ac line from the receiver before it gets to the switches since we don't need to make selections with the slide switch. It's first stop in the pricing unit is a fuse bank with 2 fuses protecting circuits.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

There is just a button momentary contact switch spliced into one of lines that used to go to the coin box.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Ron we just lost the 25 volts ac to the pricing unit and couldn't make a selection with the free selection button.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

I thought about doing a shunt, but I was afraid to leave a jumper in place in case it adversely affected the interaction between the two switches.

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Is the slide switch even needed if your setup for free play anyway. Can I just shunt the 25 volts ac to pin 5 of the pricing unit?

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Thanks Ron. The flat slide switch seems to return to it's default position ok with it's spring but no 25 volts ac is linked to the pricing unit. Maybe an internal contact is broken or dirty. It's been a day or 2 since I took the readings, but I think I measured the 25 volts ac into the slide switch ...

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

I found the ac voltage from the receiver on a soldering strip lug just a short distance from the red wire heading to the pricing unit. I put a jumper across and the pricing unit woke up. I was just afraid to leave the jumper in place because I figured there must be a reason the ac goes through the s...

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

I'm not with the jukebox at the moment Ron, but I remember sliding the switch back and forth to all positions trying to get the ac voltage to show at the pricing unit and no go. I can't remember if a spring set it to the left position automatically or not. I think maybe so because I must have come t...

Re: DS100 Sevice Switch

Ron I have a similar problem. I find the ac voltage on one leg of the manual credit switch, but it is not making it back to the pricing unit. I can see a grey wire coming from the manual credit switch that goes to a soldering strip and joins up with a red wire that heads to I think pin 5 of pricing ...

Re: Repair help Seeburg DS100H

Just following this post a bit. I assume the ac voltage that is supposed to be on pin 3 of the 2050 stepper tube originates at a transformer in the selection receiver and works it way through the mechanism of the stepper unit. Is there a good test point to look for this voltage in the stepper if it'...

Re: Remote speakers

One last thought on this subject. If we do accidently overload the amp running too many speakers, what is the chances of doing physical damage to the amp? Would we experience weak or distorted music long before the output transformer or something else is at risk?
