Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Left side light is on.

"check for motor start / carry over "switch" : you mean the contact behind the letter buttons ?

Another photo of wiper back, what's your opinion ?

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

I assume credit is established because "light" is on, by moving backward the credit wheel. To be sure, what I mean by "wiper plate" is what is called "motor carry-over segment" on figure 14. Do I need to remove something to check for "carry-over/motor start contact...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

No resistance :-\

If I ground (for a short time, only a small touch) the wiper plate, it goes to "credit position".
And if I stay grounded it goes full circle.
In case it's a useful info ?

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

I used some french product called "miror" to clean "brass" and then used Alcohol to clean any residue. Yes wiper is in "rest position". I have to manually push it to "credit position" to be able to push selections buttons. Sorry, not sure to understand what yo...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Hi Ron Rich, I have re-checked "carry over" switch like stated in the "contact arm position" in the manual. "V" form is perfect. I also cleaned contact, no major improvement. How do I check for grounding of the plate ? Again, thanks a lot for your help. http://img15.hos...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Thanks Ron for pointing me to the list. But before requesting a new coil, I'd like to be sure that it's defective ? How can I check it ? Is my diagnosis good with continuity test ? Also, I haven't figure how to remove it, screw is behind, I have no access to it, any idea how to remove coil from WOM ...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

I've done some continuity test. I found that White / Orange leads or Black / Grey leads on the DPU leads gives continuity if I touch grounding (WOM frame for instance). Am I right thinking this is not normal, as when I do it with other colours I have no continuity ? Is the cancel coil shot ? Do I ha...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

I'm back again, with a trouble... Here is what I have done : I though I could disconnect the coil by unsolder the white wire, but I was wrong. And I had difficulty to unsolder, so maybe it heat up too much ? So I finally have resolder white leads, but now freeplay doesn't work anymore. If I ground o...

Re: trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Hello Rob, Thanks a lot for your very detailed reply. I had found the trick for the credit light, but wasn't able to find the way to turn into free play. Thanks a million times, I've just test it and it works great. You're an ACE ! Now it's time for me to clean this WOM and convert it to wiPod, shou...

trying to resurrect a Seeburg ED 3WA 22

Hello, I have a consolette Seeburg ED 3WA 22, with a Dual Pricing Unit. Got it powered with a transformer, but unfortunately, water get it's way in the coins hole. Coin switches are rusted. Re: Rock Ola 503 phonette Wallbox

WB0H WB4H : no song played. WB3 or : can play only the first 100 songs, make sense as code is for 100 selections. WB4 : all selections played I assume the motor of the wallbox is already in 50Hz, as it's for french market. I still get the same symptom : "sometimes the new selection stop the pla...

Re: Rock Ola 503 phonette Wallbox

Hi everybody, Everything is connected (amp, speakers, transformers...), but I have a random "error" : I first make a selection, then add more while song is playing, but sometimes the new selection stop the playing song. Sometimes at 2nd selection, sometimes at 5th, or 3rd, or 7th... Wipod ...
