Re: Wurlitzer 3010 Override Relay circuit

I was trying to see what the sequence was on a working machine I have here. At rest if I manually move the override switch, the record motor starts, but the mech does not turn as it does on the faulty machine and the "good" machine tells me that it does not like me manually operating the s...

Wurlitzer 3010 Override Relay circuit

Hi Ron, As always, forgive my verbiage. I am novice with the electronics stuff. I finally got back to this machine today and I am still stumped. Let's start from scratch with the readings I took today. First the machine will cycle and play if I engage the switches on the override relay manually. Eve...

Re: Seeburg DS 160 Question

Ron, I go the 2050 (actually a 2050A). Plugged it in and I'm still getting two complete scans but no selection when I select. Waiting on the manual. Any suggestions in the mean time? I only have the Selector unit installed. Should this work with out the amplifier portion plugged in? Thanks much. Mark

Seeburg DS 160 Question

Hi Guys, I just picked up a DS160 that looks mostly complete. It's missing the 2050 Thyrathon tube. When I make a selection, the mech scans back and forth twice and stops. If I remember correctly the Thyrathon tube is necessary for the Tormat to work correctly. (can you verify) Also, are all 2050 tu...

Re: Wurlitzer 3110 main motor question

Hey Ron, Your advice is awesome so don't take this as me doubting you, but unless there's some way I don't know about, those override switches are really hard to get to and this lady lives 45 minutes away, so I'm not real excited about the prospect of open heart surgery in her living room. This is a...

Re: Wurlitzer 3110 main motor question

Hey guys, Thanks for the feedback with limited information. The lady replaced the manual and I brought it home. While I was there I checked all of the fuses and they were all good. I popped a pin and slid the amp out and manually activated what I'm pretty sure is the override relay (electro magnet u...

Wurlitzer 3110 main motor question

Hi, I have a lady that calls me about once a year with problems with her 3110 Wurlitzer. This time she said the machine was making a "grinding" sound and wouldn't pull a record. I opened the back and the arm that contacts the pins was pushing hard on a pin like it hit it, but didn't switch...

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

Hi Ron, Lacking the proper manual at the momen( I know, I know), but I did a visual inspection of how it works and made some adjustments to the number trip lever (?) next to the solenoid on on the inside section of the keyboard. 7 and 8 are working again as are the other numbers. I got out my magnif...

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

Well, bad news. Sorta. The two buttons with the 1800 switches (6,7) won't pop a pin unless they are held down when the letter is selected. I compared the broken switch with the 1800 switch and there's a slightly larger gap in the split on the side with the wider tangs. Is there any way to adjust the...

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

Well Ron, I carefully too the switch bank apart and found that the #7 switch was broken in half and there was a chip out of the #8. You've probably dug into one of those before and I wonder how they were assembled at the factory. Probably easier without all of the wiring in place. Looks like you get...

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

Sorry for so many questions. (forgive the part descriptions as I don't have a manual for this particular model yet) I did another visual inspection of the ladder board and found that on the #7 key one of the "feet" is broken. I tried to take a picture but it wouldn't come out. The part tha...

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

Thanks Ron,

How do you go about troubleshooting the ladder circuit? The #8 Key appears bent when pressed (the part that comes out of the bottom of the ladder is at a slight angle and the key was sticking previously). Could this be the problem?

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Wurlitzer 2600 Selection Problems

I worked on this some more this weekend. Removed the selector drum and cleaned it. Now all Letters/Number combinations work correctly until I press 7,8,9 or 0. Any Letter combination with 7,8,9 or 0 will release the buttons, but will not release the pin in the selector drum. I pressed D-0 and watche...
