Its in the clamped position, the amp is connected and one side of the needle makes noises through the speakers if I rub it, the other side doesnt but it looks damaged

sorry, I did the test when it was scanning from Left to right, I was staring at the back side of the machine when I wrote that reply.

Yes the tone arm is free to swing. I did wait till the mech was scanning from right to left before I did the test. And I also have pressed the Reject button. no luck. Something I remember also was after moving it the brace arm that keeps the deck lid open had fallen down onto the mech. I didnt open ...

I did the test and it seemed to detent. It stopped and now its in the "sit and spin" mode. It also pulled a record out about 1/2 inch

Ron- I read through your guide and I went ahead and cleaned and relubed the Mech. I put it all back together and it still just scans back and forth and then eventually stops if I made a selection it does it all over again. It never stops and picks up a record. Any section of your guide I should look...

Seeburg LPC480

I just got a seeburg LPC480, it supposedly would pick up the record and put it back but not play. Now it just cycles back and forth and does nothing.
Here is a youtube video of it. It makes a lot of noise too? Where should I start?
