Re: Rockola 6000 (legend) mystery

Looks like I found the problem.....And the answer is..........."Clamper" Seems this has gotten out of adjustment probably due to the change in temps in my workshop.Everything gets tight when it starts to get cold. Alway why non of the cdpros would work. The clamper wasn't exerting enough fo...

Re: Rockola 6000 (legend) mystery

Check all power.Everything looks good.Cleaned pins..etc When the cd lays on the turntable,it will sometimes just twist a little, and sometimes it spins like it's ready, but then it pauses and picks up the disc. It seems like a bad cdpro, but I've put known good ones in.I can take the player out and put...

Rockola 6000 (legend) mystery

I have 2 rockola 6000 legends. One started acting up on cd play.It would start cutting out, then stop all together playing the cd. Well, I figured the pickup was going bad, even though I recently changed it. Here is where the mystery begins.I put in a known working cdpro that was tested and working fi...

Looking for pin connector Rockola 6000

Rockola 6000 legend .Found a broken wire right at the end of a pin on the connector that goes on the computer assembly. The connector is the one that goes to CDP3 -Apparently the cd/page control plug. It has a rainbow of wires including yellow, green, purple, red, blue, white and the broken orange. I'll ...

Re: Rockola legend 6000 mech control issue

No the gripper goes into motion before it has a hold of the cd.It starts it's upward motion while the gripper is still closing on the disc.Since it is going up,then the gripper itself misses the disc. It's like off 1 second Usually the gripper "grips" the disc, then starts it's travel.Mine n...

Rockola legend 6000 mech control issue

This box was working great till the other day when I noticed the mech was not gripping the cd before it started to lift, hence,it missed the disc before the disc gripper closed completely. It was still closing as the mech was in the upward swing . I noticed a loose connector on the mech control pcb,s...

Record "slips" when playing

Was listening tho the Beach Boys when I noticed the record dragging.Well.it wasn't actually dragging,it was slipping on the turntable. The turntable speed is fine.It claps fine, but apparently with not enough force.Or,maybe it's because the record label is new and slick?? I've got the books for this ...

Re: Seeburg tsa4 new caps-No sound

No snap, crackle, or pops. I'm always cautious after working on things like this. I'm going to do a little testing as Max indicated.Look real close to my connectors and such. I'll report back what I find...if anything. I might have put a poly cap on backwards, but I didn't think these were polarized
