Suggestions For a Turntable?

I'm looking for a decent turntable to play/ reproduce my Seeburg 16rpm background music records on. I'm currently looking at a Benjamin Miracord by Realistic Elac 40a. Is this considered a good turntable for a beginner? If anyone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears. It would need to have an output...

Re: Seeburg 1000 background music system history question

Hmmm, I forgot about that option..I'm going to look into it now...I wonder, though, how many people are on here that AREN'T on there & vice~versa...Phonoland certainly just seems friendlier-not the posts, mind you, but the set up.

Re: Seeburg 1000 background music system history question

Hi Ron, thanks for the reply and, yes, I'm also on Yahoo Seeburg Groups but I find that group INCREDIBLY difficult to slog through. Phonoland is much better IMHO.

Re: Seeburg 1000 background music system history question

Good question...I too, have been bitten by the Seeburg 1000 bug. I've been collecting jukes since around 1977 and have just recently gained an appreciation for them...The only thing that i DO know is that they sold the records up until the mid-1980's. I've amassed about 550-600 of these special 162/...

Need Help With My Seeburg 1000 Microwave

I have a Seeburg 1000 Background Music System box and I love it. Recently it has been developing a problem while playing the underside (B side) of a record. When it starts and the needle is about to touch the outer groove of the record, it seems to "float" & skip over towards the end o...

Wanted-Cord For Seeburg 1000 BMC Microwave

Hi all, I'm looking for a power cord for a Seeburg "Microwave" 1000 BMS unit. This cord is quick-connected to the back of the amp. Mine is missing so I can't even post a pic of what it looks like,...if you have one or have any leads, please email me at imaboveit@yahoo.com Thanks!

Need Turntable Advise For 16rpm Records

I'm trying to convert all of my Seeburg Background Music records (I have over 500) to CD for archive purposes. My question to the forum is what would be the best choice in a turntable for doing this? I need something that can play at 16 2/3 rpm. Dumping them onto a CD is the easy part...Any tips/tut...

How Do I Lube This Part on "G"?

Hello, fairly new to jukebox repair, but a longtime owner of jukes. Recently I fired up my Seburg G and it is acting up...it will scan, select then needle goes to record and repeats. I'm pretty sure I need to lube this part (see pic red-tipped oil pen pointing at it). Any advise on what kind of lube...

Re: Seeburg 1000 Advise-Bad Hum!

Thanks for all the input on this! I really love this box and want to make it right...I have a spare parts box mech. and will swap it out this weekend. While on the subject, anyone have a decent source other than ebay for the records?

Re: Seeburg 1000 Advise-Bad Hum!

OK, I checked all connections and they check out...before I send out the amp for a rebuild what are the chances of this being a bad needle/cartridge? Are these still available? I understand they're special to Seeburg 1000's.

Seeburg 1000 Advise-Bad Hum!

While playing my Seeburg 1000, every so often you'll get a very nasty, audible hum. Sometimes it gets louder than the music playing...is this the actual records (some of them are pretty beat) or the mech itself? Someone once mentioned something about motor bushings(?) possibly being the culprit. Any...
