Re: AMI G-120

Hi. If your G-120 mech is about the same as my F-120 mech, which the pictures I've seen shows that it is, you may have the same problem I originally had. These boxes were made along time ago and the original wiring had lost its insulation, so back in the day, someone used lamp cord to rewire the pow...

Re: 1954 AMI F model finish question

Doghouse, I had looked at that site before but hadn't really paid too close of attention. Sure enough, on the back next to the serial number tag, I can almost see the texture and splatters. Thanks for all your help, folks, and I'll keep you updated. I need to finish this so I can start on my Panason...

Re: 1954 AMI F model finish question

Ok, so lets try this. SANY2123.JPG So here's the back with the tag, covered in Zolatone. Zola-lame if you ask me. Here's a pick of the inside. SANY2123.JPG The inside looks original. Re: 1954 AMI F model finish question

Yep. you folks got it right. I looked up Zolatone, and that's what it is. Now, i just need to find the original color. Should I just go with whats inside? It's a light green that looks sprayed on, then a darker green that looks rolled on, then a clear coat, then white speckles and then black speckle...

1954 AMI F model finish question

Hey, folks. new member, first question. I've got a 1954 AMI model F120 in my garage that a friend of mine picked up at an auction. Well, in my dayl job as an coin op technician, I've repaired many jukeboxes, but never restored one. I have everything working except the amp, and a recap and tube kit s...

I didn't realise I was a collector

Hello, everyone. In doing some research about a jukebox I'm fixing for a friend, I found your site. I thought, maybe I'll join and get a couple of questions answered and then leave, but it turns out I'm a collector of this stuff and didn't even realize it. I think I have every record player I've eve...
