Edison long play records

I have heard that Edison produced 10" and 12" long play records. Playing times are mentioned of 24 minutes and 40 minutes. I have a 12" that states 24 minutes on the label. Does anyone know how the 40 minute are designated and is it 40 minutes per side or two sides of 20? Any informat...

After more research I think it is safe to say mine is quite an early W19 and that the long play feature was a later addition. The record storage is a draw rather than verticle dividers. The medalion states, "The model 250 Diamond Disc Phonograph is the Official Laboratory Model", rather th...

Spot on, Thank you so much. The grill on mine is a slightly different design and the cabinet is dark oak rather than mahogany which this one appears to be. Delighted to have found out a bit more about it!
