Thanks..... A guy who commented on the You Tube video stated he thought it could be converted to play laterals.... and that "U" adapter is cast aluminum - perhaps made for that player? The index pins all match the cutouts. Anyway - after a good lube it plays well and will just make it all ...

I bought this small, cast-iron phonograph this weekend. There are no obvious identifying labels or stampings. Though it resembles a Vanophone - there are obvious differences.
