Re: Rock-Ola - Grease and Oil

Various 400 series - 45rpm ( have a few projects going at once) Both the "gripper" and "basket" motors still have the white nylon gears in them. I suppose the grease I found could have been some form of white grease at one point, but it sure just looked like somebody packed them ...

Rock-Ola - Grease and Oil

Hi all, non-typical lubrication question here... Does anybody know what was used or what now should be used for the gear housings on the gripper and magazine motors? Inside is the worm gear off the driveshaft going to a nylon gear. It looks like at one point they were packed with vaseline(which I di...

Re: Rock-Ola 464 Write-In Issues

How easy would you say it should be to spin a "healthy" write-in motor/gearbox? I have one on the bench right now and am debating opening it up and cleaning it out. Judging by the rest of the unit, I'm sure it looks like the pics above if not worse. With the unit mounted I can spin the wri...

Re: Rockola 442/443

I agree with you, It's not what I think of as a "remote control" either, but the text on the case was all I had to go off of. The local volume control 5pin is already plugged in and working fine - I've never been in possession of the "hand-held/wall-mount" remote. I haven't been ...

Re: Rockola 442/443

Thanks again for taking the time to help Ron. I don't think we're on the same page, or I just don't understand(more than possible) - I'm going to blame Rockola's naming scheme and my poor communication skills for that. This is the part I'm trying to eliminate from the system: http://cgi.ebay.com/ROC...

Re: Rockola 442/443

Thanks for the reply Ron. The only thing on the outside of the box is the main power switch, the reject button and the "local" volume - the later two being directly integrated into the amplifier and accessible via a small access hole in the back of the main cabinet. Here we go: I believe a...

Rockola 442/443

Hello all, Currently I'm working on getting this box cleaned up and have a couple of questions I was hoping somebody could answer. At some point in its life it looks like it had wall boxes and a remote volume control. The "remote control" module is still laying in the box and plugged in, b...
