Don't bother replying folks - I see how it's done! The AMI logo is on a separate plate which pushes out revealing two remaining screws holding the chrome frame. The plates were 'gunged up' in the frames and gave the outward appearance of one complete unit. :oops:

I'm stripping down an AMI model K - but how best to remove the large oblong shaped 'AMI' nameplate castings on either side? For anyone who's interested in what it was: I noticed that when any '6' was selected, the stepper received an extra pulse (making '7') which coincided with the button bank reset bar being actuated.
