HELP! My Seeburg LPC-1 has a speed control unit malfunction

I have a Seeburg LPC-1 which I recieved recently that has a speed problem. I can play about 15-20 records, then the motor gradually slowwwws down & the giant 4 mfd., 370VAC clorinol cap in the speed control unit turns into a heater....BAD! Any ideas?? I have re-capped ALL the chassis in this box...
