The Model Number is 1ST286R. But you need to provide the numbers off the chassis. Sounds as if it has a separate amplifier. It may be from late 50's to early 60's.

The guy on ebay is probably correct tvb5571, give or take, one could check rating of output transistors. But 40 watts just means your current draw is very low, with line at 120, it's about 1/3 amp. Good eyes 1958zenith. Really the OP's "been told it works" and no mention of radio/amp/changer (cycles proper or cartridge producing sound) working is a little shy of info. I hope the needle will do it. What is the model number of the console ameileen?

What's the model number of your set. When you "hear the record playing just not thru speakers" there's a number of possibilities. But since you checked all that it's probably the cartridge.
