Nsm ES 160 Festival Jukebox NO -5V on main control board... this seems to be intermittent fault -5V Led was working, stopped, worked again and had now stopped Again?! please advise?
Your correct, that was the pay display, silly me, brain freeze under pressure :) I changed the -5V & +5V LED and soldered some tired looking joints.... Not 100% sure to be honest, might be intermittent fault... I inspected the coin IR diodes and some of then are blown and one fell apart in my ha...
Was checking the ir photo diode that tracks the carriage movement and tidying some cables etc... Powered it up to hear a strange throbbing sound NOW... NO display -5V LED is not lighting ... one step forward and two steps back :/
The both 'middle' pairs of transistors screwed vertically and horizontally to the heat-sink don't require Mica Sheet Insulators only Heat sink compound is needed... However if unsure, a safe bet is to put Mica Sheet Insulators on all... See Pic as reference....
