hello all i just purchased a 1963 delmonico korting 941 console stereo. it has a telefunken 504w record changer.before i get in there to take things apart to clean/relube et. are there anything out of the ordinary with these changers? i read that the telefunkens were made by vm? just want a heads up...

i had that same problem on my rca vfe01 with an rp211 changer.it turns out their was some rubber built up on the motor shaft and the idler wasnt resting on the correct spot.i cleaned it off and it works just fine now,give that a try maybe? mine was fine on every speed but 33/13 until i cleaned off t...

thanks tony i tried to find # when i opened it up to lube etc but found none? there are a few # on the cabinet and the amp that lead me to believe its 1962. i believe the changer is rp211 which came out in 1960(i think?) odd that there were no # on the changer itself? unless they got wiped off someh...

thanks for all the suggestions i went ahead and bought Model P-132 and it sounds pretty good.lots more bass than the generic varco i had in there its used in some wurlitzer jukeboxes so i figured it should sound ok and it does. as good as a ceramic cart can anyway Excellent for replacing Sonotone 8T...
