Re: question about magnavox micromatic console needle/cartridge

For all of you above, contact http://www.west-techservices.com to see if they have a cartridge for the Magnavox Micromatic. I just restored one and they had one for it. The one they got for me was an EV cart. I think Astatic also has one that will work. You need one with a flip needle in it for 78 o...

Re: Can Anyone Help Identify This?

Couldn't tell you what make or model the console is. Are there any other tags anywhere? I would be willing to bet that it's a European/export model by the operating voltage of 200-250VAC. You might be able to find out from Gib at West Tech. He might know. His website is http://www.west-techservices....

Re: Magnavox Micromatic problem

I would say the needle is probably the least of your problems, but one of them. You will have to get underneath to remove the hold down clips and disconnect the wiring. After that, you can pull the changer out from the top. When you clean it, be careful not to loose any springs. Take your time.

Re: Webster-Chicago MOdel55 turntable

You have to run the changer through an amplifier to hear anything. You can't just hook the tone arm wires up to a speaker as there isn't any voltage there for the output. As far as the speeds, I'm not familiar with that changer, but probably due to its age, it is only 78. Especially if you don't see...

Re: Seeburg HF100R Amp

If it would work, I have a 110A amp to get rid of. If nothing else, maybe you could use it for parts.

Seeburg 100A Parts

I know this is not the for sale section, but I have a lot of chassis parts I want to get rid of. I have the entire changer assembly less the Pickering cartridge. I have the master remote amp and the selection reciever amp as well. They seem fully intact less a couple of tubes. I need to get rid of t...

Re: Magnavox Micromatic problem

Sounds like the needle is shot. Check with http://www.west-techservices.com. They may be able to help with that. I would take that changer and get some Naptha. Take an old brush and slop that Naptha on the bottom of the changer and clean it up real good. It will not hurt the paint or rubber. Get rid...

Restored Philco 70

This is one of my favorites. I restored all the bakelite condensors and the electrolytic cans on this radio. From the underside and top side, you can't tell it's been restored. Looks all original. Cabinet is beatiful on this one as well, although I can't take the credit for this one.

Restored RCA 45 J3

Here is a little 45 J3 that I restored. This is the 3rd one of these I have done. This one has new idler and mounts. Table and tonearm restored to original RCA gold. Bakelite is spotless on this one too. This one uses the old RP 168 changer which can be a PITA to work on. The changer works great wit...
