Re: Help Identifying a Magnavox Stereo

TO the OP: You have a Maganvox micromatic record player I believe. Manufactured by Collaro in england. Needles are cheap on Ebay. Dannysneedles helped me out. I am in no way affiliated. Hiram392: Pick up some DeOxit from radio shack or Ebay. Put this on all of the pots from the INSIDE. This means yo...

Re: Scored a Magnavox 2P3763 today

No problem. Link works great. A very nice unit indeed. I have friend who has one very similar. A piece of americana for sure. I'll need to stop by my dad's to scan the manual as my scanner is not compatible with XP - another upgrade needed - oh well. Regardless, give me a few days to a week and I'll...

Re: Problems upgrading my magnavox console

My 8-track needs four wires for the connections: Power Ground Left channel output Right channel output If you follow the wires back to where they came from, you should see one wire connected to the chassis, that is the ground. One wire will connect to a power supply capacitor, that is the Power conn...

Re: Just registered to show off my new baby - Magnavox Venetian

1970's Solid State - I have a CD player rigged up to the 8-track input and it sounds amazing. I need to replace the caps on the speakers as I believe I can handle it. That should improve things considerably. I;m powering an external pair of speakers and the unit powers them fine. I dont crank the vo...

Re: Scored a Magnavox 2P3763 today

Sweet unit!! Magnavox Astrosonic Console from the 70's I wouls assume. A few things: The link you provided does not work. The turntable is a Collaro. They were making them for Magnavox in the 70's. Located in england. For the stylus I would recommend Ebay - Dannysneedles. He provided me with one jus...

Re: Micromatic Turntable running slow

The motor may have some oxidization or dust. I have heard this from other people. Can you open the motor up? You may be able to see the oxidization.DeOxit may work but don't quote me on that. I'm sure other people might speak up, search google for micromatic turntable motor. You might be able to fin...

Re: Just registered to show off my new baby - Magnavox Venetian

Thanks Shane. It looks to be hand painted. The lady I bought it from had received it from her Mother when she passed on. She said she stuck it in the front hallway and put a cloth over it. She NEVER used it. The thing is in almost perfect condition and even came with the 45 adapter for the turntable...

Just registered to show off my new baby - Magnavox Venetian

Picked it up locally for $50. A Magnavox Credenza Console. It is the Venetian and part of the Stereorama Collection from 1973. This is my first turntable, 8 Track, console.
