Hi folks: I got the HSC-1 home LP jukebox mech working but for an occasional glitch (dirty relay points methinks I'll find it eventually). The SB-300 got new caps in the amplifier section and it works nicely from the stereo input (the radio is hopeless oh well.) However the record player itself soun...
Hi Ron: Just FYI--yep, the safety plunger slug was on the wrong side of the shift lever. I had looked at that first thing, but didn't realize the proper configuration. Now it does a full scan when a selection is dialed in, but it doesn't stop and transfer--i'll figger it out!
Still don't have the clutch issue figgered out, but the plunger is keeping the record transfer cycling occasionally--please advise, do I need a Safety Plunger repair to prevent this? It LOOKS like broken plastic....
Hi Ron: I'm still puzzling over why the clutch won't drop into scan. I was looking at the "safety plunger" and I noticed that it looks like there is a broken white plastic piece (see photo), labelled "plunger stop" in my manual but the part illustration is obscured. Do I have a b...

I hesitated to drop the Tormat assy, although the adjustments don't look that hard to reset if i do. But when I loosened the magazine, I discovered that only the...
OK, I'm gradually getting my feet wet, the console doesn't look scary anymore at least.
My question is, what mech am I looking at? The Select-o-matic manual that came with the HSC1 is for the 160, but the 160 is worm gear driven, and mine has a pair of belts.
Hi Ron--Sorry that I was not clear, the pushbuttons are for the mode select (AM/FM/Phono etc), not the disk select which uses the phone dial system. The manual illustration shows a rotary knob at the top instead. Yes, the label is hand written, perhaps even erased and corrected. So what does it mean...
Hi folks: By way of introduction, I have experience with jukes from my "on-call night technician" days, 1976-78. I can't tell you how many drunks kissed me when I got their music back for them. I also had a couple vintage boxes in the living room in the days that followed, which required d...
