Help with Seeburg L-100

by ryandawe » Wed Jan 30, 2013 6:09 pm

I am hoping that someone can help me with a problem that I am having. My seeburg jukebox works great for the most part, but when i forst power it up and make a song selection, I have to make the selection about 3 - 4 times untill the machine will advance to the song and actually play. From that point on it works fine. If I leave it powered on for a few hours not being used, I will once again have to make a selection 3 -4 times before it will play, each time only advancing very little. Can someone help explain this to me, or steer me in the direction to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Ryan,
I assume you have the Service Manual---
Sure--the scan control add solenoid is either not getting a good pulse, or is "sticky", or the mechanical lock on the scan control is not "holding" as it should. Watch it operate, and you will be able to see what's happening. Ron Rich
