Seeburg HF100G not finishing.

by Las Vegas Jukebox » Sun Jun 29, 2014 3:19 am

OK, just got a Seeburg HF100G which seems to be 90% operational. The problem is when there are no more selections to play the mech. stops after it has 3/4 replaced the last record.
Like I said, this only happens when there are no more selections to play.
So, it don't completely replace the record and it don't scan to the home position and stop like it should.
The jukebox only works correctly if there is another selection to be played.
It's as if it is missing or loosing a power connection somewhere.
Has anyone had this fault, or know where the problem is likely to be?

What you are seeing is normal.
Those older electro-mechanical machine do not "scan out" as the Tormat era one do.

This is probably your first Seeburg of this vintage and I recommend a manual. However, of more immediate concern is to properly lube the mech and rebuild the amp.

A lube chart is here: http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/Rob-N ... ort=2&o=17 Use a good 20wt non-detergent oil. Run the machine after the first oiling and then lube it again after a half hour or so.

Amp schematics, parts kits, etc are here: http://www.verntisdale.com/Seeburgschem.htm

Keith,
IMHO, you can't fix, whut ain't broke--and you kain't know whut ain't broke, without either "experience", or READING about it !
Therefore, in other words (from what Rob writ), RTFM !! Also, I humbly suggest you purchase, and read, a copy of my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide", in which I 'splain many things not noted in the Service Manuals. PM me if you wish to purchase it.

Thanks to you both. I'm glad to hear it's working as it should. I will get it lubricated right away.
