I have my Grandmother's vintage Grundig Majestic 8058 console. Broadband, FM stereo and record player. It's in GREAT condition & it works. Have been able to find all sorts of stations. Pull out drawer at the bottom, top and the front open for the record player. Any clue as to its worth???? Anyone??

Not to be a smart aleck, but whatever someone is willing to pay for it. The modern style long consoles and big table models seem to be the most desirable right now and are the only ones bringing good money. I've had a few of these over the years. Most worked. Never paid over $35.00. Don't think I ever sold one for more than that either.

I know they go for more on some auction sites, but there again, it depends on if someone wants this style. If it works perfect, as it seems like it does, $100.00 would be reasonable starting point for someone who wanted an old radio that worked good. The problem with consoles is always shipping them so local Craigslist might be your best bet.

It always amuses me when new people find this board and think it's some kind of "Antiques Road Show."
I'd suggest the majority of the contributors aren't really here to get "valuations" but for help and advice on how to keep something they cherish going.
If someone wants to know what their acquisition is worth, they're better off putting it on eBay. As has been suggested. Whatever it is, it's what it's worth to whovever who wants it.

Well put Doghouse. I think what a lot of people don't realize is just because it's old, doesn't mean that everyone wants it. I'm not sure of the market now, but I got a couple of these basically for free, and say what you want but I stripped them and sold them for parts. Made more than I ever could trying to sell the complete unit. Now, if the cases were in better shape, I would not have stripped them, but they had little value then or probably now, unless you can run across someone who wants a "neat old radio". With that type of person, it better work perfect because they are not going to know, or want to know, how to fix it. Owners, especially if it's an heirloom, do not want to hear this, but a new owner usually does not care who owned it. It's style, desirability, and condition, condition, condition. This one is worth a few bucks because it is nice.

I can't begin to tell you the numerous sites online that have threads by a "1st-poster" that involve a grandparents/uncle/aunt/parents inherited radio of some sort....
And the "usual" comment of "what's it worth".
Indeed they're also so similar, cookie-cutter identical in nature.

I was curious as to whether you still had this unit? If so, are you still interested in selling it?
I'm based in Austin, TX and have a similar unit from my grandparents and I was hoping to restore it or find a similar one.
Many thanks!
