First juke. Seeburg scd-1 help

by Bax » Wed Aug 24, 2016 4:02 am

So got my first juke and was free. Didn't test until I got home. Just put it in the truck and brought it home. So I put in some CDs and fired it up. It will pick up the disk, spin it, then screen says cd off cd on. I do notice that the battery light is on and I did change them with the machine on. Also, when the machine is plugged in, any metal on the machine gives you a jolt. Thinking may have a ground issue but don't know where to start. I do work on arcade and pinball machines for a hobby so can do some work. Don't have a manual or schematics to do any testing. Any help is appreciated.

First--determine why you are getting a "shock" and correct that problem ! ( Is the ground present all the way from the wall outlet {ASSUMING it's good there ?},to/through the phonograph. Next, read the above posts, and order the Service Manual package, from one of the listed suppliers. Once you have the docs. you've got a lot of reading to do as, sadly, I don't know of too many people familiar enough with the "Seeburg Phonograph Corp." product to be of much help-you might try: seeburgjukeboxinformationclub@yahoo.com

Be careful about what you read, on the net ! That is not applicable to CD machines. It is only for Seeburg built, Tormat equipped, 45/33 (7") rpm record players. Ron Rich
