i'm looking for a rca underdash phonograph model ap-1 or one simular to it. it is for a friends, dads 57 chevy that he is trying to rebuild to be like the one h had in high shool

Believe it or not, this site
West-Tech Services actually has one of those RCA AP-1 record players for sale! It's listed on the left hand side of the page, towards the bottom and says $350 as is or $450 restored. Good luck!

While we are on AP-1's, I restored one several years ago for a friend and now the points in the motor are noisey and irratic. Anyone know anyone who can repair or replace this motor??
