LPC 480 credit unit

I've slowly been getting this jukebox back to what it should be (as time allows anyway), and I decided to switch it from free play back to coin op, but I have somewhat of an issue. The subtract pawl I believe doesn't reset after it subtracts a credit unless you manually push it back. Now I'm pretty sure there should be something to push it back into place, but I'm not sure what might have been taken out of this unit, nor what I can do to fix it. It appears to me that all needed is there--but there is "ware" in the area of the pin going through the flat metal. Do you have a Service Manual ? If so, some of the ware, MAY be compensated, by adjustments to the subtract coil, as shown in the Service Manual. I assume the coil is energized when a selection is made?--what I do not understand is "how" someone has "set it" for "free play"--as it appears all teeth are OK on the credit wheel ? Ron Rich

The way it was put on free play was the previous owner took the subtract pawl out and taped it to the side, so I figured it was easy enough to fix. I have a service manual at the house, so I'll post back later to report if it works or not. Thanks Ron!

I managed to figure it out, there was a spring that should have been attached to the bottom of the pawl to reset it after every use. When I set it in I guess I must have missed it, but that got it working again, no adjustment needed!

Yes--an adjustment IS needed --you will need to re-adjust the stop for the sub pawl, as per the manual to compensate for the enlarged hole in the arm, which was due to the removal of the pawl.
