I have a wurtlizer 2104 ..when it picks up a record and start to play the record the magazine motor speeds up and passes the place on the cam that cuts the motor off then the motor jams...what causes the motor to speed up?..I would be thankful for any help...thanks ...jukman

Would be my GUESS that the arm that operates the transfer switch is "sticky", or, the spring is no longer attached. Broken switch ?
Did this "just happen", or have you been having other problems with the transfer/scan motor ?
The "speed issue", MAY be due to the fact that the "load is lessened" ? Ron Rich

thank you ron..it does it on and off i went to work on it one day and it was real sluggish then i clean and lube the mech..it did ok for a few times then it started messing up..so I had to leave it and came back a few days later and it played perfectly for 10 minutes then it started acting up ..when it was doing ok it was slow like it should be...after it picks up the record and puts it on the turntable then it speeds up and gets stuck...with your sharp mind i hope you can help me figure it out..thanks..

thank you ron..if you ever think of any other ideas i would be thankful...wurlitzers has always been on the bottom of my list of jukeboxes to work on...i`m now working on a wurlitzer 3400 ..does the amp come on as soon as you turn the switch..or is there a relay that turns it on...the book does not say ..i can jump pin 10 and 11 on the plug that says junction and the amp works ...rest of the machine works....thanks...

grr!!!!!I hate wurlitzers!!!!! i found out why my amp does not come on on the female plug pins 10 and 11 needed to be tighten...now the amp comes on..it also had blown speakers so i replace 2 of the speakers ..now i feel like DR FRANKINSTINE..I GAVE LIFE TO THE DEAD..finally i thought just a little more work then the man can have his machine back..then the machine did a fast one on me then the carosell started to make noices and started stopping befor it got to the record like something was binding on it i had to help it along..i was so mad i turned it off got something to drink and watch tv..i didn`t want to look at it..it has been 2 days now so i`ll try it again..why did the wurlitzer enginerrs..make these so hard to work on..you have this relay making another relay work and goes on down the line like sensors in a new car..wish me luck ..anyone...thanks mike..
