HF100R titleboard magnets

by Jimmler » Sat Jan 31, 2015 7:00 pm

I'm helping a friend of mine get his HF100R restored to original condition. It's already in nice shape, but he wants all the missing pieces, etc. installed like they're supposed to be. So far as best I can tell, it's missing the diffuser glass that goes behind the titleboard, the metal cover for the keyboard switches, and the blue diffuser that goes under the keyboard area. All of these appear to available from one source or another.

When I removed the titleboard, there's magnets that appear to hold the titleboard in place....except I can't tell what they're supposed to attract. The titleboard has an aluminum frame, so I suspect I'm missing some additional parts. The service manual doesn't break down that assembly far enough to see what else goes in there. If anyone has a picture or can describe how that fits together, I'd be much appreciative.

The other issue is the keys fail to latch and make a selection. I can already see the selector mechanism is gooed up, so I'll start with a good cleaning first and go from there.

I wish this was MY jukebox. It really IS the quintessential 50's jukebox.

Thanks!

The R and J had small metal plates on the titleboard that lined up with the magnets. Your titleboard probably came out out of a G or W. They are the same except no metal plates for magnet to attract.
