Some minor changes in categories

by Marcel » Tue Sep 26, 2006 2:12 pm

Hi ppl,
Today I combined 2 categories with only little activity with 2 larger categories. The categories combined are:

- Cylinder Records + 78rpm Records -> 78rpm & Cylinder Records

- PhonoLand.Com Corner + The Collectors Lounge -> The Collectors Lounge

... meaning announcements like these will now be placed in the lounge. It's much more fun here and this way I can reduce the list of categories with 2... making it easier to access for the less-experienced computer used.

l8er!

!!!To Marcel!!!: Garbage being posted

by sentjourn » Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:46 pm

Why is porno allowed to be posted on the message board? This should be monitored and deleted. I want very much to remain an active member of this site but not if this garbage is going to be tolerated. Please do something about this.

I agree. It's in the collector's lounge. Please delete it.

Ofcourse that sort of messages aren't allowed! In fact, users who post stuff like that are banned instantly. Our rules are clearly shown at registration. We are deleting "garbage postings" and fake users almost every day but sometimes stuff simply slips through the check. Now that PhonoLand is being visited more again (which is the good news! :D), spammers also visit more (and that ofcourse... is the bad news :cry:).

Please, if you see garbage messages, please let me know (see the contact page for abuse/moderator contact addresses please). I just checked the message boards and can not find any such messages. It's probably already deleted by one of the moderators, or I am still overlooking it, please let me know which message you mean if it's still there...

Thanks!

Marcel.
