In any event, since this box has had previous work done - you won't know the real status of its condition overall.
it's obviously been "messed with" from reading the posts.
Being on the safe side of things, I would go over it with the service manual thoroughly, before even plugging it in. - IF - you value it, and intend to keep it in a safe and proper operating condition.
I cannot stress this enough - and I'm well aware of people becoming "in a hurry" to "see if it works".
Aged electronics such as this can be severely damaged through unaware individuals simply not knowing that in moments, a severe and costly expense can be caused by just powering up said unit.
There is no "guessing" or "maybe's" in this field - ya gotta make absolutely sure.
If in doubt, or not having the expertise in determining an intelligent conclusion of the operating condition of a unit, then the next best step is to aquire the services of someone who is capable, and reputable to perform proper service.
The peace of mind later on is worth the effort.
Ron Rich out in the San Francisco area is one of the guru masters ( among others) of jukeboxes in my honest opinion.
However, the man cannot easily travel out to the ends of the earth to perform his magic on these poor boxes.
Bottom line: don't guess, be sure - or your investment can easily wind up to be a heap of pretty junk, sitting in a corner "for looks"
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
