Hi, looking for advice on the proper lubricant to free up a fussy coin mechanism and sticky selector buttons. Also what type of cleaning products are recommeneded for all the various parts? Thanks.

Hi Blue,
Depends on--what make/model phonograph/slug rejector, you are talking about ?
Basically, all slug rejectors should be washed in "hot, soapy (Liquid, dishwasher detergent, works well),water", then rinsed in hot water, and be blown dry. In some circumstances, when " "krap" has been allowed to "build-up", some dis-assembly of the unit will be necessary. All "rockers" may need dis-assembly, and cleaning. "Lubrication" of the metal type consists of a very small dab of graphite grease, on very restricted "sliding points"- Some of them made in the 40's, 50's came with instructions to use "Tet", to clean it, and other lubricants, but the factories mostly rescinded these instructions, in their later service manuals. The later "plastic types, all stated "NO lubrication". Ron Rich
