New member, need help with Magnavox identification

I happened across this console years back. It worked when I got it but the turntable is shot, and i've got a nice turntable I use for my vynal collection anyway. But I live the tube stuff and couldnt just ditch this unit as it is fairly complete and is in pretty good shape. And I know these are slowly dissapearing. here are some pics









The model number is 2ST271 F. But I cannot find any info on it. I am curious to the year and options for said model. It sounded decent last time I turned it on, but I do know for a fact it has all original resistors and caps. It also has the MPX device that was attached next to the tuner/preamp. It always sounded weird then selecting FM-MPX. Im not necessairly new to tube gear but ive never rebuilt an amp. I really want to find out what the values of the caps and resistors are so I can replace them. Like i said I love this peice and want to bring it back to tip top shape, sans turn table though. any info is greatly appreciated!!

I still have an old CD of Sams Photfacts installed.

That first pic, AMP81-01-00 shows Sams Photofact folder 563-10
That second pic, 54050-00, shows Sams Photofact 541. The CD also mentioned something about "copy service" for this particular item.

The Caps should be marked...never met one that wasn't... The resistors, if not badly faded should be easily read if you keep a color chart at hand. You should know the wattage of the resistors, though.

Not an expert here, but tinkered with these things long enough to know that many components are labeled and can be cross-referenced for replacements. NTE/ECG Semi-conductors cross reference guide is a good book/disc to have which comes in handy for some weird parts. In my findings, alot of these things can be repaired without a schematic, and their is some information on the printed circuit boards. Just my two cents. --BB
