Supposed to talk to this guy tomorrow morning. Apparently it lights up, that is it. Have already indicated what I'd be willing to pay considering know idea what all it is going to need. (son listed it, and was one in communication, the owner who is the father now wants to speak, and he's probably not happy with my low offer)

What would one of these be worth in a non-working state?

Tim, Good luck with the Sony player IN these.A freaking nightmare ! I've been working on jukeboxes for over 35 years and you couldn't pay me enough to even work on one of these .(and I have worked on them before )But then again I threw away a NSM festival like the one you fixed ! Because it was always something going wrong with it ! The joke in the vending business years ago was NsM= no sound or music ! LOL

I have no idea on value, though I suspect a couple hundred max (especially if loaded with CDs). But that only matters if you plan to resell.

That's about 150.00 more than I would give for it LOL But..... when these are working properly they sound FANTASTIC !!! If it we're mine I would convert it over to a hard drive or flash drive kit from cdadapter !

I never have seen the insides of any "production", "Seeburg CD", ( I did see the prototype), but I had a friend, who has since passed, that claimed he could fix any Seeburg/Sony player in less then 20 minutes--IF,"nobody else" had "fixed on it, first"--
As for today's value--No support from Sony, and of course, no Seeburg--couldn't pay me to haul it away--Ron Rich

I'd say you better take Ron's advice on this for sure ! And I'm here to tell you that model is one of the heaviest jukes I"ve ever moved. Hope you have a good back !!! Robert

It is important to point out that the adapter only replaces the CD module. All the associated credit-control-amplification electronics must work.

I first heard the Seeburg CD in late spring 1986 at Albert Simon Co. here in Manhattan. It was a revelation, I sat there listening to it for over an hour. On the older recordings such as The Righteous Brothers the clarity and detail were better than anything I'd ever heard outside of a studio.

These machines are definitely worthy collector's items, but you are "on your own" when it comes to support.

Thanks everyone! The offer I had put in was $60, with worse case parting it out. Gonna call the guy now to find out what he's expecting, I have a feeling he probably wants much more. (which I will pass if that is the case)
