Seeburg Q 160 ASU1

by ds100h » Tue Nov 24, 2015 12:14 am

Just picked up a Seeburg Q 160. i have 2 DS160s and 2 DS100s Seeburgs that all have a working TASU2s in them, several years now and no problems. The Q has the tube type ASU1. Can anyone offer any insight as to the the problems with the ASU1 or any valid reason why I should not rebuild this and hook it up?
TIA

Best
Darrell

Hi Darrell,
Whatchewsmokin'?? There ain't no such animule as an "ASU2 " ? You mean "TASU-2" ?? If so, that's your answer--tube vs. transistor--tube type sucked power, generated a whole bunch of heat--but otherwise was OK--check the service manual for proper sized hole under ASU, and rear door vents BEFORE using ! Vent screen MUST BE, kept clean !!!
