ive had my maggie for about a year and I love it. I will never let it go, but the original turntable has been gutted and a panasonic put in its place. It has a seperate power cord and turns, but not even sctratchy noise comes out so Im assuming that whoever did this botched the job. I am hoping someone here has some advise/wiring diagrams or even a step by step for something like this. If anyone knows where I might find a 68 turntable to slap in this baby please let me know that too!!!! thanks everyone

If that Panasonic turntable has a magnetic cartridge, there should be some type of preamp box hooked up to it to boost the cartridge output. It may even have its own power cord/switch. Radio Shack used to sell them years ago.
Anyhoo, for those micromatic turntables, you'll probably need something like the pics below. The only main difference would probably be the Molex Connector from the turntable motor to the receiver. If you have separate amp/receiver setup like below, the second molex connection should already be intact, otherwise the thing wouldn't work at all.
The platters may be different sizes, but they are all the same on the underside and are interchangeable. I have swapped them amongst my units out of curiousity. Then again, if they're built on the same frame and use the same dual wheels underneath...Duh!
I apologize for all the pics again, just wanna contribute as much as I can to be of help to someone. --BB
