Hi
I just purchased a 1957 library unit, 100, 45rpm disc - vert player.
its in a blond square cabinet, glass flip down front.
100 little levers, 4 positions ea.
after a good cleaning and lubrication, she started spinning.
but it is stuck on space 20, continually picking and replacing the disc.
I removed the frame that holds the discks and cleaned and greased the selector
dip switches.still no change?
I feel it cant be anything to bad, because everything else seems to be spinning and moving.
help ,,any ideas wherer to look !!!

I assume that there is a record in space 20---
A warped record, a loose label, or a "sticker" on a label will prevent it from falling back as it should. Watch the record--is it "falling back down" into the rack, or sticking somewhere-- ? You can run the mech with you hand by turning the motor coupler. Ron Rich

It does not seem to be hanging up on anything.
I removed the rack, and it did the same thing with no record.
grab , set ,spin reset, over and over.
I have a short video of this, but cannot get it to upload on site.
Thanks

Hi Robert,
Wished that you had read my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide", or at least, asked, BEFORE removing the record rack (Last thing I like to do--).
If doing that, it is the clutch yoke and/or #2 detent lever frozen to the clutch yoke pin. The clutch assembly must be removed in most cases to repair this problem--you might get away with using penetrating oil in all of the " cracks", along the pin--but it seldom works--the pin will need to be removed, cleaned, re-oiled, and re-installed.
