1964 Rowe Tropicana repair

Thanks for the help guys. Ron, I did cut the wires to the total play meter and the annunicator look wired correctly. Alan, thanks for the pages to look at in the manual. Helped me to look at next steps. It looks like someone has worked on the Selector gear recently. One of the two switches looks to be wired wrong. It has two wires (the black and white black) sodered to the same connection clip. I am going to try and find the wiring schematic for this in the manual and see if it is wrong.

So I am trying to find the correct wiring for the Selector gear. Specifically the switches...one of the two switches looks to be wired wrong. It has two wires (the black and white black) sodered to the same connection clip, even through there are the standard three clips. Does anyone know how the two switches should be wired? I have the service manual, but can't figure out the wiring from it...no wire colors are mentioned for this part.

I do not understand what you are calling the Selector Gear, you say it has two switches. Are you talking about the Stop Plate Assembly?
Regarding the wiring look at SM-72 the drawing here shows the full Record Changer wiring diagram. It shows all the switches, motors and solenoids.

My names Anthony, and this is my first time doing any work on jukeboxes. I just read most of this thread. I have the same jukebox that I inherited from my grandfather. It has been in a flood and there's probably more than just one problem with it. I have a manual on its way I'm just trying to find some knowledgeable people to help me out once I get started.

Please go and alter your profile to show what country you live in, this is a worldwide forum and we want to give you the best advice of where to get help.

If the jukebox has been flooded and was on at the time you may have issues with the power supply on the jukebox. Yo will need to dry everything including the cabinet.

Once you have the manual I suggest that you strip everything down and clean, remove old lubrication and lubricate sparingly at the indicated points as per the manual.
