This interface was used for connecting multiple wallboxes to Rowe Ami R-84 onwards it incorperated a 500ma fuse in the data line. You can do the same by connecting a suitable wallbox direct to the CCC with regards to the Data and Common connections if yoy place a 500ma fuse in line will the data connection it will help protect the CCC.

Just to be clear, this interface will not work with WRA/B/C, right? But will it work on WRD/E/F?

Hello Malakai,

Well, I got in contact with datasync engineering, and they are selling an adapter called the wb-wrx that is suppose to do the job: http://www.cdadapter.com/download/wrx_man.pdf. $99 + $10 s&h. If they put it on their site, all of those WRA and WRC wallboxes that come up on ebay often may be put to good use!

I couldn't find a place to add this to shopping cart on their site. So, you may have to get in contact with them to get it. As soon as I get paid, I'm ordering this. No more searching!

No problem, either way--I don't make very much $$ on them, was just mentioning it--
Ed will help you if you ask,--and he really knows the Rowe wallboxes !

Also, I saw that the jukebox uses some type of dome or globe in the #73 sockets, clear and blue-tinted ones. I do have some spare 73 bulbs and sockets, but one of the domes had apparently been broken, and I'd like to get a few replacements for them. What exactly are these called?

I think, am not sure, they were called "filters"-- but you can look them up in the parts book, and still get them from the Rowe distributor. Ron Rich

Got an OBA computer

And a stacker unit. Still need a bill acceptor. It come with all of the cables, but the power cable must have tapped into 120v somewhere else, because it's a 4-pin connector instead of the standard 3-prong 120v wall plug that's listed in the manual. I'll have to put a wall plug on it.

Also got an amplifier accessory board. This is something I'll have to mess with later on.

Hello malakai ,

The coloured lamp covers are called a lens according to the R-86 manual, part number as follows:-

3-08555-01 Lens (Gold Magic)
3-08665-01 Lens (Blue Magic)
3-08665-03 Lens (Clear used on both)

Suzo/Happ used to stock these a couple of years ago at $1.60 each.

Well, I went to two printing shops in the next town, hoping to get some PDFs of my customized jukebox title strips printed. Neither one of the shops knew what a pdf was. One only had a 'black and white' copier, although they advertise, "for all your printing needs." on a sign on the front door. How in the hell can a PRINT SHOP not know what a PDF file is? That's what I get for living in a small backwoods hick town.

Seriously though, these places must be fronts for a drug smuggling operation out the rear entrance or something....

OK--I guess that's why you failed to post your hometown in your profile ?? I knew a guy once that claimed to live in a town so small, that the Highway "welcome" sign was painted on both sides of the same sign. Ron Rich

Changed out the Data Sentry battery and installed a dual AAA battery holder, 1.2v rechargeable batteries, and cleaned up the board a little. I may go back and shorten the wires battery holder wires later, but it's not an emergency.
