Hi all!
Just joined this forum, (been lurking for many years... very helpful), and I need the experts help.
FYI, I service juke's for a living and very much appreciate the help I get from online forums like this one.
I just recently serviced a Rock Ola Capri 2 for a client, usual gummed up mechanism. The problem since I'd delivered the juke is that upon making a selection at the keyboard, the current limiting lamp stay's lit and the search unit, if memory serves me right, doesn't spin to select or "toggle" the appropriate lever unless I flex the rear of the power supply unit, (it doesn't have a cover), right where the accumulator is mounted, and then it selects plays etc. I did tighten screws on switch stacks on the power supply before cleaning or making any necessary adjustments to the contacts, and when I made selections, the problem seemed to have gone away. It was back within a few days. I'm stumped as to what is drawing the current. BTW, I did service both gripper and magazine motors also checked for any binding and can't find the culprit.
Please help. thank you!
Cheers, Steve
