Hi Ed:

I was kind of hoping someone else would pitch in here, since I know diddly about Edison phonographs. I was, however, able to find a few online references to Edison cabinet dimensions, and the one's you've posted are pretty close.

According to one site, for instance:

"The EDISON C-250 CHIPPENDALE (Official Laboratory Model) Disc Phonograph introduced in December 1915 is a full upright cabinet finished in semi-gloss or brown mahogany and various oaks. There is a distinctive Chinese card cut design above the grill surrounding the cabinet. The wooden grille is French Gothic. Dimensions are 51 1/16" high, 21" wide and 22½" deep. Metal parts are gold plated. The initial US List price as its name would suggest was $250."

I love the little bug on the site: Image

Thanks for the reply. I had added a bit to the dimensions and supplied them to a good friend in the New york City area to see if he could get one of these into his car. There was one for sale down there but it either sold or the seller lost interest in sending me the extra photos I needed before either driving 2 1/2 hours to get it myself or having it picked up. Probably for the best. I would like a Edison "project" at some point though....
