Wurlitzer 3600 Plays Slow

My Wurlitzer 3600 plays records a bit slow. If I put slight pressure with my fingernail on the motor sleeve, the record will speed up to a normal speed.

So far, I've done the following: replaced the 4 motor mounts, replaced the 2 drive belts, cleaned the motor sleeve with isopropyl alcohol, rubber rejuvinator on the drive wheel, adjust drive wheel clearance (both to the spec in the manual and also by sound). Doing these helped things, but it's still not quite there.

I didn't see any lube port on the motor.

The jukebox came to me from a bar, where it was working. I got it about 10 years ago, and it spent 9 of those years in storage, due to no place to display it. I've moved it twice: from the bar to my old house, and then again last year to my new house. No specific care was taken during the move.

I have a print copy of the manual, along with a PDF copy of the similar 3500 model.

The motor has two "oil felts", which NEED to be saturated with 20 wt. ND oil. If there are no oil "tubes"going to that motor, look at the top side, and you will see a series of "small holes" surrounding the area where the armature "pokes through". These small holes cover the felt wick. Same goes for the other end--but the armature does not "poke through". If, after oiling, AND running for awhile ( long enough for the oil to get "in there"), it still runs slow, the motor will need to be taken apart, and the armature shaft cleaned --re-lubed.

I am checking speed by listening to songs I'm familiar with. I did print a strobe disk, and I'll try to check that way this evening.

Is it difficult to disassemble the motor without risk of damage? Since it hasn't been lubed since before I received it, I may just go this route rather than trying to add lube first.

You might be surprised using the strobe--"peoples"conception of the correct speed, is usually incorrect --
Motor is not hard to dis-assemble/re-assemble--IMHO--

Thanks again. Over the weekend, I added some 20 weight (3 in 1 Motor Oil) to the top felt. I can't get oil on the bottom without some way of "squirting" the oil up.
Speed noticeably improved; by sound it's close. I checked with a strobe disk I printed out, usint the flourescent tubes in the machine, and the "dots" are moving slowly CCW, so it appears a bit slow still.

Next step is to disassemble, clean, and fully lube the motor.

I'm also getting quite a bit of rumble, especially on the lead-out of the record. Some but not as much on the lead-in. When I have the turntable mech disassembled, I'll try to address that also.

If I remember correctly, all of the WurliTzer TT motors from about the 3400, on up had an "oiling tube" that ran down to the bottom felt. The fact that there is not one on your phono, leads me to question if that's the correct motor ?
"Rumble", is most often caused on those, by failing, or incorrect, rubber motor mounts. They are critical, and the ONLY ones I have found that I have been happy with, are from Germany-- ( Metric thread--but they come with new nuts also--)(see listing above). Ron Rich

It wouldn't suprise me if the motor is not original, or possibly the oiling tube "disappeared" over the years. As an example, there is a mechanical solenoid operated credit accumulator, rather than the 555 BO/AC; evidence of non-original parts.
