RCA Victor - New Vista Victrola - Need Help!?!

First time post here, but we have a RCA Victor player/tuner cabinet and I am looking to restore it / get it restored. I have some original literature on the piece, but I couldnt quite figure out the model number - the title on the paperwork is:

RCA Victor
New Vista
Solid State
Stereo

It turns on, turntable spins, fm/am comes in ok, but... speaker sound is inconsistent at best - as I change the volume, the sound comes in and out and pretty sure all six speakers are not working properly. Looking for information on getting it restored in Massachusetts (I'm about 45 minutes outside of Boston). I'd love to be able to do it myself, but if it involves much more than replacing a few speakers and cleaning up the cabinet, I'm in over my head, I feel...

I've poked around the web and this site seems to have the most knowledgeable people regarding vintage record players and systems, so hoping I can get some good advice here!

Attached a photo to help give an idea of what I have - looking forward to hearing what people have to say and thanks for replying!

Novice's always mess with these things and wind up doing more damage.
That's a fact.
Also, the speakers are not the problem - it's in the electronics.
Indeed, recruit a professional servicer in your area to do the job properly.
After decades of neglect these consoles are in need of a complete overhauling - but they sound great once done, and can last another 40 years easily.
I've got those consoles and more walking in the door of my shop faster than I can work on them.
