I've done it, so I know about ceramic to magnetic conversions. One problem is the magnetic cartridge is a lot heavier than the ceramic cartridge. I had to modify the counterbalance on the Wurlitzer arm to get it to the correct tracking force for the magnetic. I also added a (then common) Realistic phono preamp.
