I just had my machine repaired and serviced last week and I was playing a few records this morning when I heard a record playing improperly with the sound cutting in and out. I went hit the eject button in the back and the tone arm would not come out. I also tried to move it to the end of the record to see if it would eject that way and it didn't come up then either. Any suggestions as to something I could try or do I need to call for another service visit?
I can't think of anything on that model that would cause that problem--I would advise you call the pro back-- Please post the answer when you find it. Ron Rich
I will although it could be a while. I know he was supposed to go in for back surgery this week so who knows how long it will be before he is up to taking calls and dealing with this stuff. I called another pro, the guy who I actually bought the machine from 16 years ago and he said check the fuses. I would love to except I haven't the slightest idea where the fuses would be. Any suggestions where to look for them?
The fuses are in plain sight--however, I suspect that the "fuses" are not your problem at all here. It sounds mechanical, from your description. If there is a blown fuse, it will in most cases, require more then replacing the fuse anyway-- Where are you located ? Ron Rich
